Believing God is in control is satan’s way to get you to do nothing.

When something bad happens, a popular thing to say is, “God is in control.” While it sounds nice, it actually can encourage Christian inaction. Many Christians will hide behind God’s control as justification to not to get themselves involved.

Is God in control?

Well, we are told clearly in 1 John 5:19 that Earth is under Satan’s control.

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Our mandate as believers is to test and know when the works of Satan are at hand destroy them like Jesus did. God placed His Spirit in us and gave us authority over the Earth (including the works of Satan) so that our decisions would release Heaven over Earth’s situations.

In other words, God’s control over a situation actually may require your participation.

So, before you excuse yourself to do nothing in the face of evil, sickness, injustice, and suffering, because “God in control,” consider Satan may have tricked you into doing nothing. When in truth, you are united with God and He works through you. God has given you the keys to the Kingdom so you can bind and loosen –bringing God’s Will in heaven down to Earth.
